after leaving vienna on the night train, we arrived in munich at 7am.
Munich is cold. very cold.
The plan was to stay there for a large part of the day, but the cold forced me to buy another hoody to wear underneath my other one, then get back on the train asap.
Goodbye Munich, hello Stuttgart.
The whole reason for today’s adventure to a relatively small german city, is to see the wonder boys “Failsafe” play their first gig of their european tour. But of course the boys are late, so we are left to sit around for a few hours sipping on tea and having a small wonder (not too far, these bags are heavy!)
When they do arrive, we catch up, do the usual “hows things” then dump our bags in their van and head off for a wander around the town while they set up.
As we’re wondering around the town, we come across a very unsual shop (see above) with a rather profound slogan. shame it was a woman’s clothes store…
So back to the gig! And as usual Failsafe were amazing, and impressed Kim enough to make her a fan and buy a shirt and album.
And i am officially the first person to ever buy failsafe’s new album which they had just picked up that day.
Hazaa! but unfortunately due to the broken laptop, i couldnt listent to it till we get to sweden!
The other band “uncommen men from mars” were pretty bleh. nothing special. a bit embaressing actually.
So we leave early and head to the station to make sure we dont miss the train, but we get there an hour early. and its bloody cold on that platform.
So sleeping bag out, bag as pillow. sleep. and i sleep for a long time!
When i awake its nearly time to leave and the platform is no longer empty but full of people staring at me and laughing.
But i dont know why they are laughing, im wrapped up in a warm sleeping bag while you are physically shivvering…
Board train. sleep.
